6. VAT / Tax status
The Foundation is recognised as serving exclusively charitable purposes within the meaning of Article 56 lit. g of the Federal Direct Tax Act (DBG) and corresponding cantonal provisions. Tax exemption status is confirmed by the Tax Administration of the Canton of Bern.
The Foundation is not currently registered for Swiss VAT (MWST), as the statutory turnover threshold under Article 10 of the Swiss VAT Act (MWSTG) is not exceeded. This statement will be updated should circumstances change.
7. Responsible for the content of this website
Pursuant to § 18 (2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty (Medienstaatsvertrag, MStV) and analogous provisions in other jurisdictions, the person responsible for editorial content on this website is:

The Open Science Stiftung does not offer goods or services to consumers within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, and is therefore not legally obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer-arbitration board. 11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This Legal Notice and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed exclusively by Swiss substantive law, to the exclusion of conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Bern, Switzerland, subject to mandatory provisions of law to the contrary.
