Logo
The logo is a dot mark with a two-line wordmark. The black mark, the black first line and the warm gray second line are supplied artwork. Always place the supplied files. Never typeset or redraw the wordmark.

Three forms
| Form | Use it for | Files |
|---|---|---|
| Positive lockup | Light surfaces. The default whenever the foundation needs to be named: reports, decks, social graphics, letters. | SVG, PNG |
| Negative lockup | Dark surfaces, such as the charcoal #323232. Keep both lines readable. | SVG, PNG |
| Compact website mark | Small spaces where the name already appears nearby, such as navigation. Give links and controls an accessible name. | SVG, PNG |
The SVG files are the original masters, unchanged. The PNG files are transparent renders with the empty outer canvas removed. The animated dot formations on the website are motion assets, not additional static logos.
Clear space
Let x be the visible width of the dot mark in the full lockup. Leave at least x free on every side of the visible artwork. Align the logo optically with text and other marks, then check that space. Quiet editorial layouts can allow more room.
Size
Check the logo at its final output size, especially the small second line of the wordmark. As a working reference, the presentation template places the full lockup at 230 px wide on a 1280 by 720 slide. The website's static mark is 26, 30 or 33 px high depending on screen width. If the wordmark becomes hard to read, make the logo larger or simplify the layout around it.
Keep the mark intact
- Keep the proportions. Do not stretch, rotate, skew or rebuild the lockup.
- Keep the colours. Use the positive or negative file as supplied, without recolouring.
- Keep the detail. Do not remove dots, close the gaps or add effects.
- Keep the field quiet. Place the logo on a clear surface with enough space and contrast.
No shadows, gradients, outlines or added descriptors.
Rights
The logo files are not covered by the CC BY licence of these guidelines. Read trademark and logo use before using them outside the foundation's own communications.
